We started OKGN Swims in 2024 to bring the joy of swimming to your doorstep in the community of Kelowna and surrounding areas. We understand the importance of water safety and the benefits of learning to swim, which is why we are dedicated to providing high quality, personalized lessons in the comfort of your own backyard. Whether you are learning to swim or looking to improve your technique, we believe swimming should be enjoyable, convenient, and tailored to each individual's needs.

Instructors

Bryson Carlyle- Instructor/Lifeguard: I have over a year of swim instructing experience and 2 years of lifeguarding experience and have both my Swim Instructing and Lifeguarding certifications from the Lifesaving Society. I have experience teaching a wide variety of swimmers from all levels and facilitating each individual's varying needs. I have a strong passion for aquatics and enjoy seeing the development of children as their confidence grows in the water. Outside of teaching, I am currently playing junior hockey, I enjoy biking and most outdoor activities, as well as spending time with my dog.

Avery Carlyle- Instructor/Lifeguard: I have a year of lifeguarding experience and have recently been awarded my swim instructing certificate from Lifesaving Society. I am eager to begin teaching and share my passion for being active in and around the water. I enjoy seeing the growth and development of individuals in the water. I am currently a high school student who enjoys the outdoors and playing hockey and am actively training for the Okanagan Fondo bike race.
